Distance Therapy

Distance Therapy

Distance Therapy

Let us help bridge the distance to a caring and supportive team, ask about Distance Therapy!

After a short telephone screening, eligible clients will be given an appointment for a first orientation meeting and a choice of online platforms used to facilitate the video call.  The orientation meeting will allow for a broad assessment of the severity of the eating disorder, the motivation for treatment and your specific treatment needs.  In addition, we will evaluate the availability of adjunct services in your area (i.e. hospitals) if the need should arise.  By the end of the session, we will reveal our impressions and our recommended treatment plan.  If you agree with our treatment plan, we will move on to the evaluation process with a therapist and nutritionist and recommend you have a physical with bloodwork from your local doctor.

The same procedures as in-person appointments will apply, just that instead of coming to the BACA Clinic, your therapist and nutritionist will meet you on your computer screen, tablet or mobile smartphone.

For those who come from far away to complete one of our intensive programs, distance therapy allows us to maintain regular quality after-care follow-ups to support your return home.

And for those unable to come to Montreal for weekly quality multidisciplinary services, video conferencing offers you the chance to still have access to licensed professionals who specialize in the treatment of eating disorders closer to home.

BACA is here to support and help you
